Van McCann was your average British burnout teenager. Barely graduated, could drink his weight at the pub, enjoyed cigarettes as well as smoking a few other substances. But he had ambitions, he always dreamed of his band traveling the world and selling out concerts one day, but that's a hard thing to start when you've got no money. When all the members agree to pick up side jobs Van must think a little outside the box and if babysitting for the brats down the street was the only way, so be it. However when their older sister Emily comes back from university, he might have a new incentive to stay.

But as fast as they move, as painfully slow they end. While Van and his mates get the band rising quicker and quicker, Carmen can't help her feelings as she sees her striped sweater wearing messy haired cockish boy become the rockstar he swore he would.
