This is a destiel AU where Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak come from very different walks of life. Castiel is a 24-year-old local gang leader who does as much good as he does bad. Dean is an 18-year-old new-to-town stripper at a local club with a bad past. It is the late 90's in this fanfic and Dean has just moved to a rough part of New York, hoping to evade his last 18 troubling years. He is unfamiliar with Castiel Novak, but very familiar with the gangs in Orlando, Florida where he grew up. Too familiar for someone his age. Castiel is in the business for just about everything. He has bar fights, shoot outs, takes people hostage, launders drugs and weapons, and so much more. Some of it he does for his own sense of justice, and some of it he does for the money. He isn't someone to be around if you aren't in 'the life'. Now Castiel has a lot of money, he is never broke. So, he also has a lot of houses, most of which he uses for storage or weekend getaways when he needs to lay low for a while. He decides to put a few of his properties up on Kijiji for month to month renting, knowing it will at least bring in money while they sit there. In heaven, God wants some angels to experience human life. Castiel, being the obedient solider he is, is the first to volunteer. Him and Anna are sent down to earth. God sends them to a human highschool. Both angels promise to do their best. How hard could it be? All they had to do was keep their true selves secret from regular humans. What happens when the hunters meet the angels?
