Aaliyah is the kind of girl everyone notices without her even trying. At school, she's loved by almost everyone-quiet and sweet most days, but with a sharp, loud streak that comes out when you least expect it. She dresses in a tomboy style, always comfortable in her own skin. Her world is simple, shaped by her close friendships with Mary and Eve, who stick by her since toddlers.
But across the same school halls exists a completely different world-one ruled by Bow (Bow Wow). He's the guy everyone knows and everyone fears. A known gangster, a smoker, a drinker, and a player who always has different girls around him. Teachers avoid confrontation with him, students lower their voices when he passes, and even outside school, his name carries weight. He lives life like rules don't apply to him.
Aaliyah and Bow were never supposed to mix.
But then it starts small.
Glances in class. Eyes meeting across the cafeteria. A moment that lasts a second too long before both of them look away. A tension neither of them understands but can't ignore. Aaliyah knows exactly what he is-dangerous, unpredictable, and involved in things she should stay far away from. Bow knows she's different from anyone he's ever been around-too real, too calm, too untouched by his world.
Against every warning in her mind, Aaliyah finds herself drawn in. And for the first time, Bow starts to change. He pulls back from the chaos, the girls, the reckless lifestyle-slowly trying to become someone worthy of her attention.
But change doesn't come easy in his world.
Old habits, dangerous connections, jealousy, and pressure from his lifestyle begin to close in tighter every day. The more he tries to step away from the streets, the harder everything becomes. And Aaliyah is caught in the middle-torn between the boy who looks at her like she's his peace, and the reality that loving him might cost her everything.
Because in Bow's world, loving him doesn't just change your heart...
It changes your life.
