Someone broke into the house of Addie (her sister) and murdered her right in front of Elizabeth. The attackers beat Elizabeth until she was unconscious and ever since she has been skittish around guys. Her family is very protective of her because the guys were still out there. Her three older brothers and parents were always checking up on her and making sure she was ok. Harry styles on the other hand was dark and mysterious to most people. He would have one night stands and usually the girls would leave the next morning. He wouldn't let anyone in until he meets Elizabeth. It's like he was supposed to get close to her and fall for her.
