Haunted by the quiet echoes of his past, he moves forward...slowly, uncertainly...learning what it means to accept the parts of himself he was once taught to hide. In the fragile years of adolescence, he meets someone who feels like light breaking through a long, endless night. For a moment, it almost feels like everything might be okay. But reality isn't as kind as the dreams he built in his head. What begins as love soon unfolds into something heavier....something that forces him to confront not only his feelings, but the world around him. A world that doesn't always make space for people like him. A world that asks him to shrink, to stay quiet, to disappear. (P.S it's the first time i ever write a story, and it's actually a draft from back when i was in middle school. 30% of the story is my real teenage experience. Don't jump me if it's bad BAD)

A tale of intergenerational BIID over centuries. In prep school I became a close friend of Brian Meadows. His mobility impairment was obvious. Over time its cause became evident as he described a peculiar turn of mind shared by generations of privileged ancestors whose story reaches back well into 18th century France. This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons or situations other than those that are clearly general knowledge is pure coincidence. The story is excerpted and adapted from my much longer novel "Buddies." I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I have writing it.

it's all about a mystery man, to know about him you have to follow along this journey. The story revolves around Eiguar's life, a child whom I hope you will find very resonating, though he only appears from the first chapter.
