Kayleigh's biggest worry used to be getting her braces off in three days. Now the world's falling apart and she's still got a mouth full of metal. What started as a normal morning of missed buses and homework turns into something far stranger. Whispers of a flu. Empty classrooms. People acting off. Kayleigh just wants to survive long enough to see her new smile but survival's getting harder by the hour. A story about ordinary life cracking open, one day at a time.

But also to you, her love, to be safe on every move you make not worrying about getting scarred because she knows you're involved in her life. She suffers yet she stands firm. That's just what she is. She retaliates until ash is the only residue she finds. That's her meaning of justice. She'll do anything to safeguard the people around her- even AT HER OWN EXPENSE.
