Ruby Redfort is a mischievous thirteen year old girl from Twinford with some interesting friends. These are just some random one shots that I've come up with. Some characters in these will be that of my full story Once Upon A Time so it might be helpful to read that first. Most characters are from Lauren Child's wonderful books but some are my own. All credit for characters and ideas like Ruby and Hitch etc belong to her. I hope you enjoy xx

(This is set between the third and forth book of the series) A perfect addition to the Ruby Redfort series by Lauren Child, fans who have read the books who are impatiently waiting at the edge of their seats to hear more about their favourite annoying 13 year old code cracker will not be disappointed. When Bradley asks Skylar to come along for a weekend at his father's house, she agrees. No matter how much Bradley may hate him, Sky will still be there to support meeting her boyfriend's father. However things take a turn and Bradley's dead beat dad ends up getting a little to overprotective. This is and Edge of Winter Fan Fic because I really love the movie. So here ya go! Separated from her single mother, and little brother, Andy Jackson was hopeless. Stumbling through the deep snow in the middle of nowhere, she was on the verge of freezing to death. Not far away, Bradley Baker's hands tightly gripped a steering wheel, his father watching him with stern, menacing eyes, and his mischievous brother kicking the back of his seat. Before he could process what happened, the Bakers landed up in the middle of a snowstorm, no idea where they were. --------------- Andy tensed as she heard the familiar sound of a car door closing. She bolted up from her bed, faintly hearing another slam, from outside. Her heart soared at the thought reuniting with her mother and brother. She yanked the door open, smiling ear to ear. She peered behind a post at the people. There were two figures approaching the cabin. One of the figures was tall, and slim, the other short, and childlike. Andy's grin only widened. The tall figure looked up, and her face fell in disappointment. It was a man, not her mother. She was about to retreat back into the house, before a quiet cracking noise reached her keen ears. She turned back to the man and boy, to see another figure walking behind them. Faint cracks lined the ice around the males. Andy watched in horror, and tried to find her voice. "S-stop!" She managed to croak out. The older man snapped up, scanning the area with menacing eyes. Andy abandoned her hiding place, and spoke with more confidence. The boys all looked at her curiously "Get off the ice! I-its too thin! It's going to-" Crack.
