A broke, unemployed girl with a nursing degree who just can't seem to find a job... until she finds an ad in the paper for an insane asylum. The job is as a simple caretaker, so it's not exactly the height of what she could do, but it payed... surprisingly well, and offered a place to stay on nights she was too tired for the two hour drive between the asylum and her apartment. It was too good to pass up. Or at least, it SEEMED like it was, until she found out about the patients.

Y/n is on the run from an abusive ex boyfriend. They don't have a plan and are praying that this all works out when, while out in the woods looking for a stray dog they get their leg caught in a bear trap. After blacking out for a few days they wake up in lavish bedroom with stitches in their calf and a nervous blond woman looking after them.

After unfortunate events, you try and get away from your current home, evidently taking on the job of a nanny in an England home. Surprisingly to you, the boy you were supposedly taking care of, was in truth a porcelain doll. You need the money, and the place to stay, so you take on the job, treating the doll like it's an actual kid, as it was better than being alone. But it doesn't take long until you notice the strange happenings in this house, becoming more and more aware of the presence watching you. Brahms is quite out of character in this fic!! He's more mature, with a more sympathetic personality. I tried to keep his traits by making them less intense. I let him keep his needy, whiny & horny traits.
