But he decided to go get some food first because he knew it would take a long time, and so he went to the nearest convenience store, but didn't know that his life would take a turn for the better or the worst... Raintown, a small town by a great lake, is upset because spring is late, and learns from a little girl, Lisa, new to the town, that Mr. Thunder Dunder, a mean old rain cloud, took spring. Permitted to bring spring back, Lisa enlists the aid of three friends, Mrs. Blue Bird, Mrs. White-Tailed Deer, and Mrs. Gray-Furred Wolf, to help her if she needs any. When Lisa meets Mr. Thunder Dunder, she persuades him to play a game of riddles, a game he never loses; however, he says he will only play if her friends play too, and if any of them or Lisa loses, he wins and gets to keep spring. To his dismay, they each solve their riddles, and so, knowing he has lost, Mr. Thunder resolves to return spring to its rightful owners. Because Mr. Thunder Dunder gives spring back, the mayor of Raintown thanks him and Lisa for making all the people happy because they now have green lawns and trees and colorful growing flowers.
