Sarah Mason and Dashwood Lighton had been best friends for as long as she could remember. They mostly led monotonous lives, going through the same long, prolonged procedures every day. One day, they got a chance of a lifetime, an escape if you will. They found themselves in detention with a weird combination of people: a jock, a video game nerd, a popular Barbie, and an outcast. For most, getting detention was a normal part of high school, but what wasn't normal was finding an old game and getting sucked into it, then promptly getting coaxed into saving a world which turned her life around. So here she was-against her choice, mind you-fighting a hot guy (what? He was!) obsessed with a green stone, all the while trying to survive and battle the arising feelings.

After two kids, Gracie and Marcus go missing in a small town, named Paradise Acres. The towns vastly decreases as ghost sightings rise, and multiple children go missing. After a decade of paranormal activity, a paranormal specialist Dr. Bernard Stone and his assistant Dr. Shelly Cholmondeley set out to find out whats been going on.

Connie was nobody, barely a background character in her peer's lives, so when she goes missing, no-one seems to care. However, she becomes trapped in the game Jumanji, in the body of the savage huntress Tetra, and a few months later she's joined by one of her classmates Alex, inhabiting the pilot 'Seaplane'. For 20 years they try and try to beat the game, and learn to get along with each other, with varying success, until the missing pieces return, and they can win as a team.

Elizabeth, or Liz, is Spencer's sister. They used to be best friends with Fridge until they had a falling out. Liz also has a huge crush on Bethany Walker, the most popular girl in school. But then they all get detention together and Find a video game in a console and decide to play.

They have to fight their way through this Dangerous Jungle. The great warrior, Lady Serpent is after The Jewel Of The Jungle. This Jewel is more commonly known as the Jungle Gem. These teens have to find a way to find the Gem and restore it before it's too late. This jewel provides Jumanji with everyone, NPC(Non playable characters) and the real characters- like this these teens.
