It's 1708 and a huge ball is coming up in a small island off of England's coast named Portifer. It is a masquerade ball where people are dressed as swans, peacocks, or lions in honor of the prince's engagement. But what happens when the lights go out. Moments later they come back on to reveal the prince has been taken. And a masked man stands in their presence. He booms, "The prince has been taken! And six of you will prove yourselves through a series of tests places by me. If you ever want to see your beloved prince again or be human again I suggest you get going!" With that and a puff of smoke the man is gone and a letter with a red seal is left. Six of the party-goers, including his fiancé, realize they cannot remove their costumes or masks but find themselves changing into the animal they came dressed as. These six young ladies and men go on a quest to find the prince. Will they find the prince and reverse the curse before they permanently become their animals?

Every classroom has a system, a way of separating those who are academically challenged and those who are not. A way of protecting the teachers pets from the teachers pests and vice versa. Nerds in the front, assholes in the back. It's the way it's always been, the natural arrangement. I, Layla Andrews am neither, yet. Having just moved here to Whitewater Grove, my main job is to observe and take note of how others act, because at some point we have to choose a side. It's like some kind of unwritten law or something. It's not like a turf war or anything, if that's what your thinking. Its more of a brains versus brawns type thing. Totally innocent, but totally serious. By the time you start high school here, most have chosen, but I have a disadvantage. So far, I've chosen to hang out and watch from afar with my two, welcoming best friends, Delaney and Brandon. But there's a problem; both of them have chosen and are forcing me to choose too. Because they like to make my life difficult, they chose different sides.

If being quiet didn't make her more of an outsider, being the only one with onyx hair and fur finished the job. So now the Moon had paired them together. The question is was it the right choice?
