Growing up all Delaney Torelli knew was hate. Her mother died giving birth to her and her father and sister hated her for 'killing' her mother. Her father beat her until she was eight, which was when he left because he couldn't deal with her. Growing up with her sister, Ashley, who constantly mentally abused her and made it her job to make sure she knew how hated she was. The only ones to protect her were her brothers Trey and Stephan. When Ashley makes an attempt to strangle Delaney, her brothers call the cops and they get taken away to an Aunt that they never knew existed. She lives in New York with her two children and a ton of cats that she rescued from the street and puts in her shelter. Can Delaney learn how to stop being depressed for a few seconds and be happy? If such a thing is possible, she tries not to think on the events of the past but somehow they always come back to haunt her.
