"Wait-- who is joining us?" "Just a few boys from school. I swear it'll be fun." Kayla shot her a reassuring smile, though that did nothing to calm her nerves. "We already know them, okay?" Selene just gripped the steering wheel tighter and glared out the window to avoid saying anything about this whole mess. "Just," Kayla sighed and played with the many rings on her fingers. "Promise to be civil with Lucas. Please?" Absolutely not. - - Selene Aster just wanted to go on her annual girls trip and read her books she specifically bought for this occasion. Every spring break since the start of college, she and her three roommates/best friends always went to Florida and rented out her aunt's two condos for two weeks. This year, however, they rented four condos for two weeks. All because her roommates decided to bring along some boys to their annual trip. That wasn't the big problem though. The issue was that Lucas Faxon had been invited along with them. And he was number one on her idiot-shit list. But will these two weeks turn these enemies into something more? Or will their hatred burn too brightly and blind them from the possibility?

In a world that judges before it understands, I learned the power of seeing without condemning. Every life carries storms, every soul battles shadows, and some stories are too raw, too real to ignore. I met him in silence, a stranger from streets I've only witnessed in fragments, yet his voice resonated with truth, pain, and resilience. He shared a world most fear to reveal, and in listening, I discovered the weight of judgment, the strength of acceptance, and the courage to rise above fear. This is not just a poem. It's a confession, a witness, a journey through life, loss, temptation, and the unwavering light that refuses to bow. It's about honesty, humanity, and the moments that remind us we are all more than the labels society places on us. Open your eyes. Listen to the spaces between silence and the sky. Feel the truth in every word, every line, every heartbeat that refuses to be silenced.

She rolled her sleepy shoulders, straightened her back and lifted her drowsy head up to look at him. Still puffy her youthful eyes looked towards him, who unsurprisingly was already lost in her strong beauty. Her hand wandered to his neck, and closed the gap between the two. Silently they studied each other's faces; there was no need for words. Till heaven reunites us we will be by each other's sides. That was the promise they made, that was the promise they'd keep.
