Well now the tables have turned its time to show the 'ruthless' alpha that not everything works according to him. Not every time the damsel in distress will come looking for her hero, so that he could swoop in, save her ass 'and' take all the credit for himself. Maybe this time the damsel in distress wants to be the hero. Maybe this time it will not be the ruthless alpha rejecting the abused mate but the abused mate rejecting the 'ruthless' alpha.
