He caused a great number of people to either love or hate him, sometimes switching from one to the other. I was not least among them. What kills me is that he could have been mine. He was supposed to be mine. I didn't realize what I had when I had him. I loved him too late. I let hatred and pride shield my eyes from what was right in front of me.
