Kassandra Brooks, a seventeen year old basketball player, has lived in San Diego her entire life. She's never travelled, never moved, never left; She's never needed to. As much as she enjoys spontaneity and change, her life doesn't bring much of it.
Nathan Garcia's never been anywhere for too long. His parents loved exploring and changing things up. They enjoyed doing new things so much that they couldn't seem to stop. Eventually it cost Nathan's family their unity.
When Nathan is forced to move in with the mother he can't stand in San Diego, his life changes so quickly that he can't keep up. In an attempt to find balance, he befriends his neighbour Kassandra, but they soon prove to not be able to stand each other either, and they don't want to.
But life doesn't really give two shits about what you want, does it?
