Irina had never believed her grandmother when she used to tell the young girl that dragons were real. "Such imaginary beast do not exist," Irina would say, returning to her own fantasies that had always been dominated by pencils and colors. That's when Patumuk materialized out of thin air, Irina thought she had to be dreaming - that was until he took her onto an adventure that went far beyond her pens and paper. Yet, in order to save this newly discovered world, she might have to conjure up her best drawing yet. This story is written for the Brian Kesinger contest. Short story for Brian Kesinger's writing contest. Alana is a girl with a wild imagination. Ever since the tender age of 5 she's had a magnificent ability to draw dragons; one of earth's favourite mythological creatures. Her thoughts and her dreams have been surrounded around her obsession with these creatures. At the age of 18, on a very special day when even mother nature has pushed her towards her destiny, will Alana uncover why she has always had such an admiration for dragons? Will her drawings finally come to life to guide her towards the answer or will she yet again wake up from this reoccurring dream? This short story is very symbolic. The topics behind confinement, dragons, imagination, etc. are all open to interpretation. ENJOY!

We all have unique gifts. Not using them can be as harmful as using them for evil. The evil wizard, Calcine, has a plan to take over the dragon kingdom of Tarragon by turning the gift of fire against them. The queen sends Sir Remington Brandabum, the bravest of the Royal Dragon Guards, to the human world to find an artist. Tarragon was born of the human imagination, so only a human can rebuild it. He must overcome his fear of the creatures who slayed his parents to save his kingdom. Kriti is alone on the streets of a city where she's known only pain and loneliness. Art is in her heart, but she's afraid to unleash it after seeing what it did to her mother. When Remington finds her, can he convince her to embrace her talents and save Tarragon?

A fantasy about a lady and a dragon applies in the reality if you interpret them as a parent and a child. The story begins with her running away from a palace... She does not represent the child, the dragon does. She represents the parent who got out of a family that brought her up. This is all about Amelia making her own dream with Rose, her dragon.

In the history of storytelling down through the ages some of our most enduring tales have been of heartbroken individuals who have found solace and a fresh appreciation for life despite their great personal loss through a chance connection with a kindred soul in the animal kingdom. These stories of deepest despair transformed into a new joy in living life, of being reborn through a bond with a pet, of discovering a communication beyond the verbal, of having a hole in one's heart mended by a loving inter-species friendship, have become some of the best-loved narratives of our popular literary canon. Otto and Victoria, is a new tale to warm the hearts of children of all ages for all the ages to come. From the creative imagination of master illustrator, filmmaker and author Brian Kesinger comes this story of a very special girl, Victoria, a born adventuress raised by the ocean seaside. Tragically orphaned, she finds a renewed love of life and joy in living through her relationship and many adventures with Otto, an octopus who serves as her personal butler but is, more importantly, her best friend. Sometimes the best medicine for a broken heart is a loving hug, and sometimes, an eight armed hug just might make a miracle.
