The Diary of the Daughter of a 'well-to-do' American politician in London. Set in the later half of the 1920. Clementine is young, rich, and loves a good party. With the help of her friends, she tears up the town, dances till dawn, creates scandals and breaks hearts. What could be better. Loosely inspired by Bright Young Things, The Picture of Dorian Grey, The Great Gatsby and many more of my favourite fictional comfort characters, books and movies. I own none of the above obviously.

Taking her life into her own hands, she runs off to join the nurses in the front line, there she meets the fiery spirit that is Phryne Fisher; together, the two patch wounds and comfort the injured soldiers till the war is won. Miles Maitland has to navigate a world ravaged by war, famine, sickness, fear and death. He reflects on his past actions of drug and alcohol use numbing him as he drifted through life one party at a time. He thinks back on his first love, whom he gave away his innocence to. Miles fights to survive his drug addiction and the war. The fear of Nazis coming to take him away to his death is an ever-growing reality when they come a knocking at Miles' hideaway. Will he escape or will he be marched to his death?
