As she took a delicate sip from her bottle, her eyes met those of a curious yet familiar gaze of a boy standing across from her in the aisle, his features obscured by a mask, adding a layer of mystery to his presence. With every glance exchanged, their connection deepened, the warmth of the brisk bottle in her hand mirroring the budding warmth Y/N felt between them. Y/N, dressed in her 7/11 uniform, couldn't help but feel a flutter in her chest as she rang up customers at the register. Her thoughts wandered to the masked stranger, whose enigmatic allure lingered in her mind like a riddle waiting to be solved. Just as she was lost in her musings, the chime of the door signaled a new arrival. With a quick glance up, Y/N's heart skipped a beat and a warm blush spread across her face as she noticed the familiar figure approaching her counter, brisk tea and slushy in hand. His mask concealed his features still, leaving her to wonder about the face hidden behind its fabric. With a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, the masked stranger reached up and pulled down his mask, revealing a face that sent a jolt of recognition coursing through Y/N's veins. Two Plates define the tiring, tedious and full of hardships but interesting life of a roadside eatery owner, Baban Bhai. Selling buttered toast and other regular snacks with his little brother Chaman, he ekes out a living. Favoured by the regular office goers and students alike, he has a steady income. But one day, Baban and Chaman's life takes a different turn. Troubled by poverty and lack of money, they are approached by a kind and helpful man who promises to provide them with better options. Seeming safe and trustworthy, the brothers consider him as their friend and confidante. Money and good fortune never last long, they say. God provides but your actions nullify the positive outcomes. Hawking seemed burdensome and unwanted, but was the stranger truly so good as he seemed externally? Or was there a bigger game behind his assurances? Was lady luck truly getting ready to smile on Baban and Chaman, or were they being led into a pit? Will they be able to earn loads of money? Will their eatery truly turn into a okcafe? Was the idea of serving 300 customers per day finally taking its roots? Only time would tell us that. A noteworthy and soul stirring journey of two honest, innocent and hard working brothers. This tale relates the true meaning of "Two Plates."
