A high school/ modern AU. Keith life has been awful so far. Shiro, Matt, and Sam are all pharmaceutical scientist that all work together. They went to Harvard University and found a cure for cancer. All three separately go around the country as guest speakers for events and schools. One day, Shiro happens to be a guest at Keith's school. Meeting Shiro was a turning point in Keith's life that only led to more turning points. With the path Keith is heading down, he runs into a certain blue-eyed Cuban boy.

After their Father's death, Takashi Kogane (13) and His younger brother Keith (7) are taken to an orphanage, thing's aren't what they seem when the oldest of the brother's lose's his memories.

How could he ever fulfill Shiro's shoes? Lance notices his teammate's struggle, and although the moment they share is brief, it is a reassuring turning point for Keith Kogane and Lance Mcclain. *** Alright guys I wrote this very short story in 2018 and had it sitting in my notes since. I touched up a few things, mostly typing errors, but overall it's the same: pretty quick, and nothing too special. Lance had joined his family back for summer vacation, and he was pumped! Not only he would see his whole family for the summer, but he would be able to go to the beach every day! There had been recent unknown creatures seen around the coast and all the theorists had swarmed the sands, making Lance quite annoyed. But his curiosity from following a shadow in the waters brought him to a relaxing area, hidden from the rest of the beach. As he lays on his surf board everyday he starts to get suspicious, with sudden movement in the water and seeing shadows around the pool of water. Keith had been spotted multiple times from coming closer to land, he had been chased out of his pod 10 years ago from sharks and hasn't found them since. He had been trying to get into another pod for years now but had always been kicked out eventually. But to his luck he had brought a human to the area he had been living for a year. But as he had seen the boy each day, he had started to get attached. Everyone's training but when Keith gets frustrated that Lance is only on defense instead of attack, he decides to scare him by sending flames to make a close call. When Lance moves suddenly and gets hit with the fire his body reacts in a strange way. Eventual Klance. Lot's of Langst.

Lance McClain is in a band, does theatre, and is at the top of the school choir. On top of that, he's a senior in high school. So far, Lance's stress levels have been through the roof and he doesn't think he'll be able to make it through the year. Through all of the challenges he faces, one thing seems to make a difference. This year, there's a new student at the school. ~~~
