"Twelves" is a short story about a man who has the chance to restore a broken relationship by returning to the past. Regretting how his behavior impacted his girlfriend, he uses a broken watch that displays 12:00 to visit her again to repair what he broke. As the story unfolds, we find that the reasons for this man's behavior relate to the pain of his own upbringing, and we see that while time may not heal all wounds, it does present the opportunity for their healing.

Broken dreams and broken families, the streets of white city Jabavu are full of broken young people. Rape, teenage pregnancy, drugs and gender-based violence is no surprise. Nobody seems strong enough to save the lost city.

We all have that one big dream in life. That one goal that we want to achieve. Alexa's was the biggest. Her dream was to help everyone in the world be happy. From friends, to family, to random people at school, she has tried to help them all. But when she comes across a mysterious creature, everything changes. She has never experienced anything like it. It was mean, it was cruel. But it also had a sweet side. A side no one has seen before. Will she be able to help this mysterious creature?
