For as long as Maven could remember. He had always lived in his brothers shadow. It was no surprise, his brother was the heir. The man who would one day become king and rule over Norta. He was everything that Maven was not, but then one night. He received a letter. A love letter. As Maven read the letter, he wondered. Who could it possibly be? Nobody has ever written him a letter. Nobody cared about who he was when his brother got all the attention. So, who was this mystery person?

This takes place during the final showdown between Mare and Maven. It mostly covers Maven's thoughts and feelings as he dies. I got this idea from reading a Hamilton fanfiction where Eliza meets Hamilton in the afterlife, so there is a few references... well there's one, and the title is a reference to off Broadway Hamilton. Anyways, hope you enjoy!

FANFIC: MAVEN x MARE from RED QUEEN. Book focused on events from GLASS SWORD, but takes its own from there until the end. WARNING: Before reading, I want to get a few things straight. The characters, settings are all owned by Victoria Aveyard. I am a great fan of the Red Queen series, but after reading I still believe that Maven deserves something better that being a monster. I just can't shrug the feeling off that there's more to his side of the story. Aside from original scenes from the Glass Sword, I will be adding different story lines of my own.
