RidgeClan and MeadowClan have never been good places to live. BrookClan was always the most comfortable of the three in the territory. But Ruffledfur didn't have the privilege of living there. RidgeClan was never a place of choice, however Ruffledfur has been quite comfortable in her role of warrior. But then she started to grow round bellied... She was pregnant. Her relationship, already not one chosen by the leader, had gone too far.

Life as a kittypet in the warrior clans can be hard, especially when, somehow, you get everyone in the whole clan to hate you. Meanwhile, a new apprentice- Starpaw- was supposed to be a medicine cat apprentice, but her leader had other intentions.
