I wrote this poem in response to one of my favorites, 'His Last Duchess' by Robert Browning, presenting the same story from another point of view, as someone observing the actions of the narcissistic Duke

Many people have told me that my poem "My Last Duchess" was very ambiguous and that they did not understand what was happening, or they felt that the dramatic monologue took away from the scene of the poem. Thus, I decided to write a story version of my poem in the point of view of the guest, which would be more detailed, and publish it here on Wattpad!

Sasha is a 21 year old bartender in Arlington, Texas. She's made mistakes in her life, but who hasn't. She isn't proud of her current standings in life, or who's the one person in her life, but sadly there's nothing she can do. It's like.. Well... She's stuck.. She's can never reach the Moon.. The only thing he can do.. Is make sure Sasha stays with him.. And Destroys anyone or anything, that pleads otherwise.. But Sasha soon receives a glimmer of Hope... His Name is Chresanto August. He's in her area of Texas on business and they just so happen to stumble upon each other.. Later they start to develop small feelings of attraction towards each other and secretly strive to be together.. But there's still any issue.. Kyle is still in the picture..
