You,my friend,are living a life of peace and quiet! Yeah just kidding,you live within the city,or more likely in the outskirts of the city. You just wanted a nice and quiet life,and what does god give you? An alien chick,or an alien harem. (Who knows,maybe you'll be lucky?) This doesn't help the fact you aren't the best with social skills,and can barely keep yourself together when under extreme pressure. Enough of this in the way,here's a quick rundown. Reading was the only comfort I had in this life. I wasn't born lucky, nor was I born into a wealthy family. It didn't really matter, though, as I was surrounded by people who cared for me-- such as my parents and older brother. My parents always tried their best to provide for us and our dad often worked overtime at his low-paying job to afford little luxuries here and there. Of course, time isn't kind to anyone. As our parents grew older, my brother and I began working full-time to be able to provide for them as they had for us. Everything seemed to be going well, until my brother had to be hospitalized. All I wanted was to work to pay my brother's medical fees and sustain our family as we waited for him to wake up, but life isn't that easy. Somehow, I ended up in the novel I read during breaks at work or when I stayed by my brother's side as my parents slept. It was just supposed to be an escape from my shitty reality, so how the hell did I end up here?
