Bruised, and alone in a dark room isn't always the best thing for anyone, especially when you can't remember who you are, when your supposed to.

Sometimes, when you ask people about their childhood they would say how fast it went. How they loved the time they spend with family and friends, while some people would say 'I don't want to talk about it.' The people in this story, are part of the second group. They did not know happy childhoods and they had to struggle to become the people they are today. 'Loved and Bruised' tells the story about a 19 year old girl called Katie Beckett who grew up in Arklow, Ireland together with her alcohol addicted father, mother and five siblings. When her maternal grandfather passes away they inherit his house in New York where Katie will have to start anew with her study, and her life. However her life changes when she meets this mysterious guy who is determined to help her out.

I never really liked my parents, I mean why should I? They just dumped me in this boarding school when I was 12. They waited till I was 17 to get in contact with me, they don't love me and I don't love them. Then they think they can run my life, as if? They want me to marry a stranger, one who has something off about him. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I will. Believe me I will...

Only the race against time and evidence will tell. There's a long history between Connie and Alex. They met when Alex lived in Essex before he 'took a fated trip across the ocean', and Connie moved to Surrey to be with her new foster family. But distance always takes its toll and this couple were no different. Taking friendships to the next level is risky, they knew that, but once Alex and Connie re-united they couldn't see any other option but to take the plunge anyway. What if you had a chance to go back? A second chance to do all the things you wanted to do but you were to afraid to try. A new opportunity to live your life how you wanted to do. A do over to mend all those mistakes. You could have friends. Come out of your shell. Live a childhood dream. Maybe even find love. What if that was exactly what happened?
