Brumby Stories

Ten year old Kacey gets bullied at school but, after meeting a brumby that lives in the bush nearby, the bully certainly won't be coming back! **This is just a story that I wrote back in 2017 and it has not been edited, so please don't judge too harshly.

On a remote cattle station in Outback Australia, Cassie lives alone with her Dad, spending her time cattle droving and learning by correspondence. It's when a broken brumby comes into her life that it flips. Not only does she have to try and build a relationship with the wild horse, but between her and her distant neighbor, sparks begin to fly...

This is a story about a young, free, wild two year old brumby, caught and taken away from his home in the Tumbarumba National Park mountains in Australia; this was his first experience with humans. little over a week later he was sold to his first home, this Is what i believe my horse went through during his 'breaking in' period. Based on a true story, also the picture is of me on him going for one of our trail rides <3

When I remember The Cascade Clearing, I remember my mamma. She was a very beautiful mare, with her golden coat and a twinkle in her eyes. She said I looked just like her. She had never had a foal like me. I was born at the clearing. A beautiful place that my mamma knew. We spent most of our days there, rolling in the lush, dewy grass, or twisting and turning around the gigantic eucalyptus trees that towered over us.
