When I remember The Cascade Clearing, I remember my mamma. She was a very beautiful mare, with her golden coat and a twinkle in her eyes. She said I looked just like her. She had never had a foal like me. I was born at the clearing. A beautiful place that my mamma knew. We spent most of our days there, rolling in the lush, dewy grass, or twisting and turning around the gigantic eucalyptus trees that towered over us.

To a brumby freedom is life, what happens when everything they know is taken away? Camira is a rich buckskin colt, that stands out amongst the rest of the brumbies. He is constantly having to run from men as they see him as a great prize. He always managed to escape, using his ever growing knowledge of the bush but one dreaded day the men out smart him and he is caught. His main goal is to get back home to his herd. This story follows Camira and his struggles to return to the home he loved and he will try anything and everything to see his family once again. He faces many trials that seem so unnatural to him, like the men trying to ride on his back but he never forgets his mountain home and will wait until the right moment occurs and he can finally go home *Being edited before more chapters are published*

This story is about a young girl who comes across an old Brumby in the Australian bush and finds out that there's more to this old horse than meets the eye with him saving her life and then coming to her in her dreams and taking her on an adventure through the night where she finds out that his and his herds life is in danger. Together with her sister's help they help him to escape this vengeful enemy. Based in the late 1970s in a country town near Lake Macquarie in NSW this story is based on a true life adventure so come and find out where, how and why this young girl helps this wild horse to be free.
