Eighteen-year-old Aru thought being adopted by billionaire CEO Suyodhana Indravajra would finally give her a normal life. Instead, she moves into a silent quartz mansion filled with locked doors, security cameras, and rules nobody explains. At first, the only strange thing about Suyodhana is how distant he is. He disappears for hours, takes late-night calls he refuses to answer in front of her, and seems uneasy whenever she asks questions about the lower levels of Indravajra Tower. Then Aru finds the hidden elevator. Buried beneath the skyscraper is a secret underground laboratory no one is supposed to know exists. Inside are classified files, strange experiments, and evidence that Suyodhana has been hiding something far bigger than a company secret. But Aru isn't the only one searching for answers. As she digs deeper into the mystery, she's pulled into a dangerous world of lies, surveillance, and people willing to do anything to protect what's hidden below the city. And the closer she gets to the truth, the harder it becomes to ignore the growing connection between her and the boy helping run the lab. A boy she absolutely does not trust. Now Aru has to decide who the real enemy is: the powerful man who adopted her... or the secrets buried underneath his empire.

(After NOI) Ever since defeating the Sleeper, Aru Shah's dreams have been plagued with nightmares. However, she soon realizes that they're not regular nightmares, but rather a warning of a threat. Will the Potatoes find out who the new...or old potential enemy is and will they be able to save the world one last time? (ALL MAIN CHARACTERS BELONG TO ROSHANI CHOKSHI)

Just writing dumb short stories in the Rick Riordan Presents books universes. Comment if you have any ideas for what I should write, currently only Aru Shah (by Roshani Chokshi), Sal and Gabi (by Carlos Hernandez), and anything Rick Riordan wrote, I'm not familiar with the others enough (I might do Storm Runner (by J.C. Cervantes) but nothing else, haven't read them in a while). I do not own any of these characters (except for a few I made myself, they aren't necessarily published yet, who the authors of these books can feel free to use). Aru Shah loves her job. Wouldn't you when you're a well known detective? When you're called 'the Sherlock Holmes of the era'? Her streak was a case solved in 6 days! Well on official documentation, it says 5 days 18 hours and 53 minutes, but the official news says 6 days. Whatever. Plus, her sisters worked there! Could it get any better? But she works alone. Solo was the best way to go, after all. That being said, could you imagine her reaction when they say she has to work with someone equally as good as her? Well, first, she wasn't used to it, and second, her pride was at stake here! But this was also the most dangerous case she has gotten in...forever. Will working with him slow her down? Or will they finish it quickly? Will they reach The Light at the End of the Tunnel in time? TW: mentions of blood, fatal injuries, death, weapons, SA, and abuse. Original story belongs to Roshani Chokshi, but this plot and my OCs belong to me. DON'T STEAL IT!
