This is an AU from the book serie "Aru Shah". Big part of the characters are from the awesome Roshani Chokshi. Aru have lost everything because The Otherworld, a secret spy society. The ones that were supposed to protected her, turned her back to her when they discovered who her dad was (a murder part of the Dark). They killed their mother, a member of the society, and left her in a world of shadows. Her father, the Sleeper, took care of her and her big sister, Kara, after that, teaching them how to use their powers and turning them in murderers. Even though Aru try to keep everyone away, she let pass her walls to Yamini, Mini, her best friend, who was recruited to form part of the Dark, when the Otherworldly rejected her for her brother. Meanwhile, Aiden hates the Dark with all his heart. They took everything from him and he had to live since then with his cousin Rudra, Rudy. He trained to became a spy like his parents with her awesome best friend Brynne Rao, and taking care of two orphans with special abilities, Nikita and Sheela. But what happened when Aru and Aiden get to know each other for the first time? When they stories collided and find someone just like them, but that's fighting for the opposite? This AU is going to be like the book "Letters to the Lost". If you haven't read it you definitely should. All characters go to Roshani Chokshi (except if I make some of my own). Almost all of the plot goes to Brigid Kemmerer (she wrote Letters to the Lost). There may be some inappropriate and mature language (barely any but I just wanted to put it out there). Aiden Acharya - A guy who has a record and does community service for crashing his dad's pick up truck into a building. And has dad issues and step dad issues, well basically family issues. Aru Shah - A girl who lost her mother, and refuses to touch any photography equipment again. And locks herself away from the world. These two meet in the most unlikeliest way possibly, by writing letters to each other and keeping them in a cemetery. Crazy right? It's a few days after Aru's birthday, and the Pandava training is in full swing. Just now, it's more rigorous, since the Potatoes are going to have to use 'normal weapons'. Aiden calls in a favor from a friend of his, which leads to a chain reaction of events. *This story consists of fluff, and angst, mainly. The farthest I go from fluff is kiss scenes, so..... yeah.
