Dan is deaf, and doesn't speak. After moving to a new school with an interpreter, a classmate named Phil made a bold decision to learn sign language so he can get to know Dan.

Daya was born to fly. But in Sector 22, flight is forbidden, noise is death, and the Vaelith rule from the shadows. When the Flesh Reapers destroy everything she loves, Daya takes to the skies-alone, hunted, and heartbroken. Her name means bird. Her silence means survival. Her rebellion might mean the end of everything. Note: This story explores a world where silence means survival. Written with respect for the Deaf community and BSL users.

Steffi doesn't talk. Rhys can't hear. They understand each other perfectly. Love isn't always a lightning strike. Sometimes it's the rumbling roll of thunder... Steffi has been a selective mute for most of her life - she's been silent for so long that she feels completely invisible. But Rhys, the new boy at school, sees her. He's deaf, and her knowledge of basic sign language means that she's assigned to look after him. To Rhys it doesn't matter that Steffi doesn't talk and, as they find ways to communicate, Steffi finds that she does have a voice and that she's falling in love with the one person who makes her feel brave enough to use it. This is an essay written for English Class about BSL.

I am deaf but I have a hearing aid to help me to hear, I am still trying to communicate with hearing people and it is really hard for me. I don't really understand much what hearing people say to me but I can understand to family and closest friends really well. my mother came in to the living room and said 'Sam I got this letter from deaf club and it about a deaf Holiday I think you should go to the to get out of the house'. When i got there its was a very small place and it had the Deaf logo on gate so i knew i was in the wright place, as i walked through the gate i felt relaxed and at home as every where i looked people were signing but it was very weird because i felt i was in my own little world, i spoke to the adults first as they were the leaders. The place was called Beautiful Sky I look around and saw a large lake it was really nice.

I thought I would write this because I could not find a book about B.S.L any where but I did find lots of A.S.L (American sign language)books so I figured that sign language is useful no matter what country your in so I made the British version for all my considerate British cums. ( or any one really )

An eye opener to those who refuse to see beyond the stereotypes forced upon this breed.

A child loses their beloved pet to a law that should have never been passed in the first place. BSL, or breed specific legislation, is a law put in place to ban and most times euthanize perfectly healthy dogs with a bad reputation. 'Pit bulls' are not the only dogs subject to this law. BSL affects many other breeds, including German Shepherds, Dobermans and Rottweilers. Based on the media and the 'blame the breed' mindset, this law is completely ridiculous and does more harm than good by tearing dogs away from loving families.

Today you'll learn the alphabet in Australian, British, and New Zealand Sign language aka the BANZSL alphabet. They have the same alphabet but all three are different signed languages from each other.

A pitbull puppy named Annie and her siblings are born in a puppy mill. After a horrible start to life, things just keep getting worse. Annie is abused, neglected, fought, starved, and more.

Learning Deaf sign language, BSL can come in handy especially when you need to interact with deaf people. Learning the sign language can also give your business an added boost

To mark Deaf Awareness Week, a subject that resonates deeply with me as someone who is hard of hearing and is learning British Sign Language, I wanted to share with you all an article I wrote last year.
