Jungkook and Ines Park spent a lot of time together, considering they were children of the two most affluent families in Redwater, Texas. Despite their mothers' best efforts, they never became friends or got along at all, for that matter. They'd bicker constantly, fighting for attention and praise from both of their families throughout high school. The rivalry is finally put on pause when Jungkook moves to take over the Korean branch of his father's energy business, while Ines goes off to Cornell University.
A decade of no contact, and now they're right back where it all started. When they both come home for the annual Redwater Rattlesnake Roundup, hosted by the country club where they'd spent their summers, things are already tense enough. That fact is made worse when the Jeons invite Ines to stay at their estate for the summer, considering the Parks are renovating.
The two are once again forced into each other's orbit, but it feels different this time. As a summer of rodeos, barbeque competitions, live music, and late nights sneaking out to Redwater's infamous spring unfolds, the two find themselves wondering why they never got along before.
