17year old Evan Buckley gets sent off to a boys camp after he was expelled from high school. What happens at that camp when he runs into 17year old Eddie Diaz?

Eddie watches as Buck realizes what they're going to have to do. The younger man is delirious with pain as he begs. "No! Eddie, wait, please!" His voice is borderline hysterical and Eddie feels something shift deep in his stomach. He's still holding the blade over the fire when he looks at Hen. Her eyes say it all. You have to do this. Eddie feels like his hands have gone numb by the time he pulls the knife out of the campfire while Chim assures him that it was hot enough now from his position where he's holding Buck's legs down. And Buck is pleading and begging with him to not do this. Eddie knows he has to do this, and that Buck can't make sense of the situation in this state. But all those reassurances mean nothing when the blonde is looking at him like - that. Eddie was in Afghanistan and he actually had to cauterize a friend's bullet wound before, but this- this is different. This is Buck. When Buck sued his firehouse he only thought abou getting his job back, he didn't mean for anyone to get hurt. Unfortunately a lot people in the process of getting his job back got hurt. Everyone from the station were really pissed at him and didn't want him to come back. Even Eddie, his best friend, didn't want to see him or even hear from him. When Buck starts feeling sick, and more tired than usual of course nobody notices, because it's better if he wasn't even there. Once he bumps his shoulder on a the for frame, and when he gets home later he notices a huge bruise on his shoulder. He decided to go to the doctor. The news that he gets are the most shocking and terrifying news he has ever got, in his entire life.
