It's a tender, quiet story that really gets to you. It's about this woman who falls hard for someone, even though she knows deep down it can never really work out. She keeps all those feelings bottled up, and you can just imagine her days and nights are filled with what-ifs and longing. Those little moments at work, a bit of kindness here and there, she starts reading way too much into it. Then family stuff comes up, old wounds that remind her of feeling invisible and always taking the blame. As she realizes things aren't going to go the way she hoped, she has to face this intense loneliness she's been running from her whole life. Finally, she decides to be honest and tells him how she feels. It's not about trying to win him over, but freeing herself from the burden of those unsaid words. You'd think it would be awful, but there's a sense of peace in it. It allows her heart to finally settle. She starts figuring out how to stop trying to please everyone else and stops waiting for someone else to save her. Alone, she discovers a sense of strength, respect for herself, and calmness. It's not your typical romance story. It ends with her finding herself. She realizes that loving yourself and being okay with who you are is the most meaningful kind of love there is.
