Steve Rogers may look threatening and dangerous, but you couldn't meet a nicer guy. His large group of oddball friends can all assure you that he's one of the nicest people they know and practically harmless, but everyone else in his small town is sure he's trouble, and since he's not really given a chance to prove them wrong, he might as well fit the stereotype, right? Bucky Barnes looks innocent enough. He comes from a 'good' family, and his friends are well behaved and intelligent. However, Bucky's quiet nature has led to him having a lot of secrets, secrets which aren't his to share and which could get him into a lot of trouble if he lets them spill out... Bucky tries desperately not to look for trouble, but it seems everyone else in his town wants him to get hurt. So when a boy who is practically made of trouble starts gravitating towards him, Bucky gives in and let's him befriend him, simply uttering a prayer that he's not as troublesome as he seems, as Bucky has dealt with enough shit to last him a lifetime. With suspicious friends, spoilt bullies and neglectful parents, both Bucky and Steve have their hands full, but maybe they can find a little solace in each other amongst all the chaos that goes on in their small, inescapable town. ~~~ Pre-Serum, Punk Steve and Post-Serum, Pastel Bucky in a small town high school AU.

Captain America fell down to the ice and welcomed the darkness like an old friend. Until the light flooded, and all hell broke loose once more.

(Eventual Endgame Spoilers?) Back in the 40s, I knew we could be no more than best friends. But in this new age where two men being together is fairly common and after he lost her and was looking for someone with shared life experience, I thought, maybe. But that didn't happen. He chose Tony Stark instead. Why? How? I guess I really will never be more than a best friend. But isn't that enough? I feel like I'm losing that too.

Bucky is drunk . And he can't help but think about Steve: About how much he loves him, about how much he wants him. Things just start escalating from there. --- Hi everyone! This is my first work ever, but i'm really proud of it. Let me know if there's something I could improve about my writing. It is a very short snippet of a bigger story that I have in mind.
