India, 3rd century BCE. A prince is born under a prophecy: he will rule an empire and lead his people with wisdom. But first, he must conquer. He must fight. He must become a killer. Ashoka, son of the Maurya dynasty, is a warrior without equal. His thirst for power drives him to the bloodiest battle of his age: the conquest of Kalinga. But victory brings no triumph. Only silence. Only the faces of the dead. Haunted by the carnage he has unleashed, Ashoka embarks on a journey that will transform him from a ruthless conqueror into an emperor of compassion. Guided by the ancient teachings of the Buddha, he will learn that true power is not won by the sword - but by the Dharma. Based on historical events, "Ashoka the Great" is a story of war, redemption, and the radical choice to govern through nonviolence and justice.

Standing on the busy street of downtown New York City, suddenly I wonder where is home for me really and what happened in the last twenty years of my life. Now with two beautiful hybrid children I gave birth to on two different continents and a ten year plus marriage I am about to put an end to, I still feel all alone. Everything seems so far away from me like a dream. What really happened? It might be the expired melatonin still working in my body that's making me dizzy. I couldn't find any new ones before getting on the 18-hour flight from Hong Kong. So I figured a expired melatonin would not kill me, but not being able to sleep during the flight while sitting straight up in a tiny seat for 18 hours will totally destroy me. Not to mention I need to go meet Mr. Anderson, me divorce lawyer, right after getting off the plane, because just the thought of potentially losing custody over my two children scare the shit out of me. Am I ready to take the final step to stand up for myself and file for a divorce? Or the better question is, am I ready to be free again? The answer is clear, I have waited far too long. From the moment he asked me to go to the emergency room myself while I was 7 weeks pregnant and bleeding nonstop, to reading his phone texts with a hottie about what their favorite SM positions were while nursing his 6 months old baby at home. What was I waiting for? Waiting for the final slap on the face? Don't we all do that to ourselves? Waiting for people to change, hoping they would just grow up one day, and even begging them to just understand us for who we are, but they never do. Because the ultimate truth is power lies only in our hands. Our hearts project the world around us. We actively choose our life paths by every single little decisions we make, guided by a pre-written script for our souls before we enter into these lifetimes. How did I know all these? I just woke up one day. Or you can call it "enlightened"'...through the study of Buddhism.

The Poet is a free soul and a bearer of truth. The Poet is divinely taught, therefore teaches. The Poet is rather to be followed, not to follow. He follows the Holy Light. He believes, he submits, and he knows. His knowledge is limited because he is a mere son of Adam. The Poet is Muslim. His faith is a sanctuary, yet his story transcends boundaries. Seldom question people's faith! The Ultimate Holy Judge, the One and Only, manifests His Holy Presence. The Ultimate Holy Judge is Just. We, humans, are not. And the reason! We misunderstood the Holy Message. Our human ego forced us to mingle with religion, faith, and the Divine Truth. We did, and still do, harm to each other. In our quest for dogma, we lost the Holy Universal Message of Peace and made Faith a weapon instead of a spiritual bridge. Why? The Forty Days Out will provide you with the answer. Embark, board, and sail with the company of the Poet into a spiritual journey, on a vessel of thoughts, to see how a single man refused the clutches of religious dogma. The Forty Days Out is a story where Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and Buddhism are evoked.

*To my Friend Takeshy Sareya Vertus , who has been dreaming of me putting my writing out there since high school, This one is for you, Happy Early birthday * The world did not end in fire or flood. It ended slowly, tree by tree, breath by breath, hope by hope. By 2045, the Earth is exhausted. Scarred by human hands, poisoned by greed, and silenced by endless war, Nature stands on the edge of collapse. The balance that once sustained life is breaking, and humanity has become its own greatest enemy. When prayers no longer reach the heavens, the ancient forces answer instead. The gods of old and the Loas of forgotten realms awaken a prophecy older than civilization itself. Four lights are chosen; four humans born not to rule, but to protect. On the night of a total eclipse, when darkness swallows the moon and the world holds its breath, four children are born across the globe. In Haiti, Thailand, Greece, and the United States of America , their first cries echo through the unseen realms, signaling the rebirth of hope. Each child carries the power of their ancestors, their land, and their spirit. Separately, they are vulnerable. Together, they are unstoppable. But as their powers grow, so does the danger-for the greatest threat to Nature has always been human desire. This is not a story of gods saving the world. It is the story of humans chosen to protect it. And the fate of Nature now rests in their hands.
