Millicent is a timid girl working in a goblin castle. While she can handle goblin cuisine and getting the ballroom ready for the queen's layday party (like a birthday party, but for people who hatch from eggs), she may not be able to deal with being accused of kidnapping the son of the local bugbear police chief. (Note: this is a one-shot short story, though it does tie in to the novel Miscast Spells)

Coraline is a blind tiefling who wanders the deasert killing anyone who gets in her way. After her horse was stolen she is hellbent on tracking down the bugbears that stole her one and only friend in the desert.
