The young flock leader, Spark, faces the dilemma of choosing a deputy after his father's death. On the advice of a friend, he goes to the old, wise doe, Anastasia, for a hint. During his journey, the specter of his father's past is reflected in both herds. Will Spark save the herd and the land from destruction? LaEotW was inspired by the "Warriors" series.
