In 1989, when Y/n L/n finally scored a job as a "Playcare caretaker assistant" at the infamous toy company Playtime co., they made it their mission to make sure every child at Playtimes orphanage got the care they deserved before sending them out to the warm embrace of a new family. A year swept by like it were a mere few days, but to Y/n and the children they took care of, those days were filled with hours of building trust, joyous laughter, and fun. However, Y/n slowly started suspecting what the company was so determined to hide, which soon resulted in Leith Pierre firing them before they got too far. Ten years later, Y/n received a strange letter in front of their doorstep with disheveled handwriting saying: "Everyone thinks the staff disappeared 10 years ago. We're still here. Find the flower."

Cece knew for a fact that something was wrong when she got a letter from her brother's old job. It said that the employees were still there, that they needed help. Playtime Co. had shut down for unknown reasons. Her brother had been fired anyways, so why were they requesting help from him, of all people? Playtime Co., the world's most prestigious and well-known toy manufacturer is home to Poppy Playtime, known as the most intelligent doll ever created. She and her friends have called this their home for many years, with all of the scientific experiments and dark secrets lie in its shadows. Huggy Wuggy, the most successful toy to date and Poppy's best friend, has always seemed to know how to make Poppy's life more enjoyable than the hell both of them are living in. When a scientific experiment starts to bring in and involve orphans, it's up to the toys to save the day. But then, you've received a letter telling you that your supposed co-workers from Playtime Co. are still there after 10 whole years. You didn't tell your parents about the letter, and later found out - through research - you that you used to work there, but after an accident happened when you were coming home, and just so happened to get in-between the crossfire is when you got your head injury. Against your better judgement, you went there because of your growing curiosity and sudden rise of internal guilt rising inside of you. You made a promise to your little brother that once you return back home, you'd give your little brother a toy from the factory as a souvenir. How will you survive this madness that'll stand before you in your expedition? Will your little brother be enough to convince you to move forward and survive this hell that was bestowed upon you; your will to not give up just yet? Will you fight against the Prototype and live in the end? Or will you end up dead just like the rest of Playtime Co.'s staff?

After 10 years and six months. An ex employee was able to make it out alive and reported the living toys. However the toys are now property of a another toy company. When the toy company tried to make the same magic, it went a different route. It still worked though. The company needed help so they've taken a few toys...(Poppy Playtime owned by mob games and is not mine, and this is an au: aka my version of the poppy playtime story.)
