I've been working on these lyrics for a really long time now, maybe two and a half years. I want to thank the person who's inspired me to pour every last bit of myself down on to paper. from start to finish, these lyrics tell the story that I never got to tell you. Hope you realize this is for you.

Traumatic experiences will haunt you forever and change who you are. "'Ashes to ashes,' I heard him say, tears running down my eyes. My lungs burned from the smoke. 'Dust to dust,' I couldn't breathe, I couldn't see, all I could do was listen. 'You're nothing but dust, and to dust you will return.' I couldn't stand anymore, using what little air I had last I cried out. But my cries were swallowed up by the pain filled screams of my parents. That was the last sound I heard before my eyes closed. I just needed to give them a break from the smoke."

Fire can devour and destroy objects in a matter of minutes and it seems as if it has done exactly this to Constance's life. The young girl finds her world rapidly falling apart when one of her parents is killed in a car accident. With the help of a new friend, she finds life a little brighter. *This is in the short story category for the length of the chapters*
