Rapunzel- commonly known as Nel- is a princess, locked away in a high tower. She has no idea where she is. Her parents cannot forgive her for her treasonous act. She ran away. Her story is told through flashbacks and, eventually, in present time. Is there hope for her life? Is there a reason to continue? And, possibly more important, will she escape?

Ellie Brass has kept her secrets for so long. And no one knows. Josh Holden has been a classmate since sixth grade and has no idea- no one does. When he finds her crying in the corner of the library one morning, he finally has the guts to ask her out. He has no idea of the impact they will have on each other. And maybe he’ll finally unlock some of those secrets.
