Myrie is a normal teenager living in the city of LA with her abusive, over bearing mother. When her mother forces her to take ballroom dancing lessons to get closer to the teachers of the classes. Myrie is all to keen in making sure she gets out of the class. (Sorry I suck at descriptions)
