This is an original story that I made from a 4 panel Byler fan art piece I saw. It takes place in Hawkins in 1986 while the war is still going on, and Will has moved back to Hawkins. Everything that happened in season 4 still happened and this is after spring break. Please know that this is my first fanfic and I am still learning. So please be patient if and when I make mistakes. This is ongoing and I am in school so I may not finish for a while but I will try to as fast as I can. This is technically a Byler story but you can take it how you like, if you ship mileven that is okay. Will Byers had finally snapped. The last drop of patience that he had somehow managed to maintain overflowed into a pool of anger and heartbreak. He was done with Mike Wheeler's bullshit. He was sick of his friends not caring. He wanted them to hurt the way he does. And when that oppurtunity presents itself in the form of Vecna, Will learns things about himself he would have never imagined to be true. * * * Just thought this would be fun to write because Will deserves a villian arc.

14 year old Will is thinking about the past and comes to a sudden realisation that maybe the love he feels towards his best friend isn't at platonic as he would've liked it to be. Now stuck with this problem and the ongoing mess in Hawkins Will has to find a way to hide this feeling from everyone- it's the 80s it's frowned upon. Tensions rise and Will and Mike's relationship lands at a point it hasn't before.

As soon as poor Will Byers sees Mike Wheeler's and Jane Hopper's (Eleven's) hands holding, kissing on a balcony, his heart shatters. But will the heartbreak last forever?

After Will comes out, Mike starts to realise the truth- far too late, and in the middle of the end of the world.

Mike Wheeler learns what it finally feels like to have his mind raided at the hands of evil. The only one who can save him is himself. At least that's what he thought.

Mike is jealous of Will's new life without him. It unsettles him deeply and he isn't quite sure why it is. Will on the other hand digs deeper into unsettling Mike. OR Mike is a compulsive liar and Will is evil by circumstance. Excerpt: "Oh, so it is romantic with them." "Yeah Mike, we kissed." What else could it be? His expression hardened, he didn't like what I had said. How I had said it. "So what? You start kissing the entire school population after we stop talking for five seconds?" I couldn't believe the words coming out of Mike's mouth. I tried reasoning with him. "It's just two people. And they kissed me. Why does this even matter when we're talking about us?" "Well, you let them kiss you. And now you're deciding who to pick and ask me? ," He conveniently looked past my question. "Why did you decide to ask me anyway? Since I am so awful and ruined our friendship." "I thought that you would be here for me. That this would mend things between us." I meant it but there was another reason. I wanted him to react, to know that I was doing better without him.

[This story takes place 8 months after season 4] Mike has always been in denial about his feelings towards Will. He had pushed him away multiple times because of this denial but now Will and his family is back in Hawkins. Will has been a wreck this past eight months of being back in Hawkins. He couldn't help but feel anxious about the situation at hand. He could feel Vecna regenerating and he was afraid, terrified. He was trying to play it off cool but he just couldn't. One night Will wakes up from a nightmare seeing and feeling Vecna and he doesn't want to be anywhere but back in Michael's room sleeping with him like when they were little. Because of Hawkins destruction and the "gates of hell" many people moved out of it. Hawkins is slowly being crept up upon by the upside down which is now making it's way into reality because of Vecna and there's only one way to stop it and Will knows it. (Started Dec, 2, 22 Finished Dec, 12, 22)

Season 4 byler but in Mikes POV !! I feel like no one talks abt his pov with byler, he's such a underrated and misunderstood character, (might be uncanon to the characters tried to make it as Canon as possible!)
