March 30th, 1986. The day after the events of season 4. Will and Mike arrive back in Hawkins. Home. But home isn't the same anymore. Hawkins, their once beloved town, now looks more like an apocalyptic disaster. The two boys know it's them and the party who needs to save the town. However, this task proves to be difficult when new feelings emerge. Will, the kind, soft and self-sacrificial cleric, who is hopelessly devoted to his so called unrequited crush. And Mike, the loyal but sometimes rude, leader of the party, who's struggling with new emotions he doesn't know how to handle. How will they save the town? But most importantly, how is will going to be able to share a room with Mike, his life long best friend and crush? Authors note: Just to preface, English is not my first language so please be kind(: Also, now that Stranger things 5 is only days away I thought I would finally release the story I've been writing just for fun over the past 1,5-2 years! Will Byers just finished 8th grade. He's afraid something bad will happen with the Mind Flayer and the gate. It's been 6 months since the Mind Flayer escaped Will's body, and he's scared it'll come back to haunt him. Will needs Mike the most, but when his dreams come true, he takes it all for granted.

Will is living in an apartment filled with drawings but his heart is empty. It's been since he was a kid. Thats when he realised that he was different and that was also when he realised that he had fallen in love with Mike Wheeler. His best friend. He never told Mike anything and now they are in their 30's living separate lifes in different cities until Will one day gets a letter.

Modern + Band au !! Wills sister, El, always listened to this band called Cherry Burners. Will had to listen to their songs multiple times because of her. They were good, he always would turn the volume up when listening to them. When El is able to get tickets to one of their concerts she gets two and takes Will with her. He can't help but look at the lead singer.
