Kidnapping? Really? What a lowly job. But William Herondale and James Carstairs must kidnap Hunter Beyers, a small town writer, who happens to have Lupine blood in her mixed with Oracle heritage. No she wouldn't destroy all man-kind, but she would be helpful to have around the institute. One problem: Hunter is as alert as a whole army mixed into one. Her only weakness is when her Oracle kicks in and she blacks out. Or when her emotions become wrecked, then she shuts down. Hunter is a social outcast. But she couldn't care less. She loves being a loner. Story lines and plots flow easily to her when she doesn't have other people breathing down her neck. While she enjoys writing and reading, the only other thing that will remotely calm her is running. She placed top on her Cross Country team. What will happened when Will and Jem try anything? Oh those boys are in for the ride of a life-time.
