a poem i wrote back in september 2025, i'm resharing it one year later in honor of the life of a showgirl: the encore!!

This is another in-world song from Willington, sung by the burlesque dancers The Danzinger Sisters at the Déjà vu club in my novel RedShell. So I've came up with this idea do awhile of making this book, as I am a massive fan of Phantom and Love Never Dies. I just want to clarify that I'm aware it's very similar to the plot of Love never Dies, but I am going to take things out and other scenes in. In my own opinion, I am not a fan of some of how the characters are shown in Love Never Dies, so I will be adding depth and trying my hardest to make sure they aren't put aside. I'm also aware that I'm not a really good speller. So please be warned if there is any spelling mistakes! But taking away all that, thank you SO much for reading this!! 'The Shadows of Angels' is a short story mostly inspired by the Shadowhunters Chronicles written by Cassandra Clare. Though, it doesn't feature any particular character or any particular coherence with the books. The main character was strongly inspired by Cordelia Carstairs from The Last Hours trilogy. I just wanted to write a short and fun story about two (badass) girls fighting a demon in 1870s London. If you like Shadowhunters and stories about demons and most importantly !slaying! demons, then I'm pretty sure you'll like this one. ('The Shadows of Angels' was written in the context of one of my uni classes, I had to respect an amount of 3.000 words.)
