"Concordia School of Music was reputed to be one of the most famous, prominent of schools that came in the country. Many eager students, all over the globe over, dared to hope that they would find themselves pacing in its grand, splendid hallways on their way to classes with former concert musicians who had performed in many famous venues such as Carnegie Hall on more than one occasion. Some of these musicians had even performed in front of royalty, making personal acquaintances with queens, kings, and emperors. Of course, infamous for its finicky tendencies, the student population numbered to be only 200-the faculty being less than twenty times that quantity." Laverna finds herself wondering if she missed the date of the apocalypse when her piano teacher informs her of her lucky fate one day during piano lessons. As she tries to cope with the nearly impossible, she also tries to balance her juggling emotions when it comes to dealing with her arrogant, calculating, ambitious, overly uptight, infuriating rival, Cynric Esel.

I love the sounds and emotions of Japanese poetry. This is in the style or genre of Tanka, slightly longer than the more common Haiku. Tanka consists of a 5-7-5-7-7 unit pattern.

The idea behind this 99 Poem Challenge group project is to build a folder of poems that are all completely different in style . The challenge is also to complete within a year and to be inspired and inspire others to try new styles. Within each poem itself there is a basic description of its type or style and any specific rules involved. Special thanks to @cristinaaragon for the cover design.
