Marley Autumn Nixon is a 12 year old girl from Vermont. Marley's beloved father died when she was only 7, in a rogue accident at work. Marley's mom, Hazel, moved on far quicker than her, and moved the two of them to New York City, before a year had passed, to live with her new boyfriend, and old school mate, David. Marley didn't trust David, and he proved to show exactly just how untrustworthy he was. When the girl was 11 the vile man started to occasionally abuse her. The man bought Marley's silence with threats to her mom and friends, as well as some lenient rules for curfew, and clothing. His threats and rules worked well, not even her mother knew of her abuse, which quickly became an common occurrence when Hazel picked up a job that required her to travel frequently. Eventually David and Hazel got married. One day Marley gets a text from a man who had been given the wrong number, neither knew just what they were getting into, nor how much their lives would change thanks to the drunk girl who gave the wrong number.
