For generations, the Lightwing family has held a secret commission from Princess Luna herself: to serve as the "Sentinels of the Midnight Border," watching the edge of the Equestrian night where the stars meet the void. Orion Lightwing is the latest to take up the mantle, stationed at the lonely, high-altitude Star-Gazer's Outpost. His life is one of quiet discipline-until the night a constellation he's been tracking for years simply extinguishes. When Orion flies to the capital to warn the Princesses, he finds that a strange, creeping apathy is infecting the ponies of Equestria; as the stars disappear, so does the ponies' ambition and "spark." Because Orion spends his time so far above the clouds, he is one of the few immune to the effect.

Remember when we were kids and watched this show a lot, even online... but we stumbled across videos we shouldn't have... well... this is the continuation of the story from the "Friendship Was Magic" video, the one that didn't have a happy ending... but now it can... the story of how some of the iconic My Little Pony villains managed to win... and take over Equestria. It seems the magic of friendship can't defeat the villains... but... what if there's another kind of power capable of destroying anyone, anything... determination... Princess Celestia has agreed to chaperone Twilight's Friendship School students (The Young Six) on a trip to a Fillydelphia amusement park on the day of the unveiling of a new ride, The Friendship Express. For this trip Celestia has recruited her sister, Luna, as she herself has never ridden a rollercoaster and the prospects of a day riding them seems daunting. But that is not the only drama as young Sandbar faces his own personal fears embodied by riding Princess Cadance's love coaster... With his best friend, who may be so much more to him. Despite multiple edits this will need a few more edits before it is 100% but I completed the story and wanted to get this updated version out ASAP for hopefully a pick up of new readers.
