After War come to Sparks's Country, her father and older brother is drafter, and her older sister leaves to nurse on the field, she and her younger brother, Danny, is sent off to live with their aunt in the country side. Getting bored in the home, Sparks ventures out to meet her neighbor, Cado. But something's different about him, something Sparks has never experienced before.
