Overview of the AU: Playtime Co. had established an on-site orphanage to help save more lives of children that appear to not have a future, but Elliott Ludwig believes that isn't the case! He believes that every child should have a future and a chance to be loved once more. This worked wonders for kids, employees and future parents alike for the scientists at Playtime Co. They, being incredibly intelligent, had convinced Elliott to hire more staff, teachers, counselors as well as a place to play. He agreed to these requests and in a mere few months, a fully functional playground was created for the children. But tragedy strikes the once warm place. An accidental fire had set the place aflame, harming many. Playtime Co. had to shut down due to cost, heavy damage, and a couple of lawsuits but, it didn't matter. The on-site orphanage was a success and plenty, if not all, children were adopted by loving and caring parents. It's only a matter of time till they'll meet each other, both the children and the adults who worked there. Who knows what fate has in store for them. ------- Author's note: This will be slow burn story, sorry :/ The main characters for the story are the Smiling Critters (obviously lol) as they face through college, employment and trauma. One final thing before you continue! The Critters are using human names since this is also a human AU but the main focus is their college and café lives! Catnap still has his original name and I have given the others their own name and I would like to make this known: I didn't know that there was already a child named Samuel Lee, I had come up with it while I was making Dogday and decided to give the name of Samuel Lee to Bubba, don't come at me. I hope you enjoy this story though and find comfort in it.
